MEET EL PATRON: CRISTOBAL ALONSO

A SEASONED CHEF, AN EX-BASKETBALL PRO, AN AVID PIANO PLAYER….AND A SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR WITH AN SWG ACCELERATOR ON HIS BACK

I am a passionate person so I’ve always put my soul into everything I ever did—from corporate life and the startups-verse to my basketball career and cooking. Maybe it’s just the Spanish way of doing things (I do originally come from Spain) or because I amalgamate cultures of all the 10+ places I lived in and the zigzag of a journey I’m still at.

But if I learned one thing from everything I’ve done it’s that love and hard work can get you anywhere—and I try to translate this statement with all my endeavors. At SWG, whenever I mentor aspiring startuppers, I always put great emphasis on coachability—it’s a concept now engraved in our acceleration programs and what I’d call my personal touch to the logic behind our ventures there. And this principle of coachability, for me, is the only thing I’m relying on when I strive for success—in whatever I do, be it piano lessons, learning another recipe, or taking on another company en route to growth.

PERFORM in Times of Crisis

These past years haven't been easy on us. Learn how to guide your shorter-term crisis-response thinking to align with the company's long-term goals.
